An application for launching instruments pending in the SEC.

ProShares has developed an Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) to track activity in the metaverse development market. Representatives of the organization submitted an application to launch the instrument with the American Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

  • If approved, a fund called the ProShares Metaverse Theme ETF will track metaverse developers based on the Solactive Metaverse Theme Index.
  • Blok draws attention to the fact that this tool practically does not touch the world of digital assets. That being said, some of the companies that made it onto the index, including Twitter and Meta (formerly Facebook), are closely tied to the cryptocurrency market.
  • Meta launches the metaverse trend. The company name change was associated with the team’s choice of a new direction of work. After Meta, many other organizations have entered the race to dominate the metaverse market. Including, Baidu China created its own virtual reality. Recently, company representatives revealed that it took them 6 years to form the metaverse.

Previously, Morgan Stanley analysts concluded that South Korea will become an important center of the metaverse in the future.
