Through the services of the Central Bank, Russia sent funds amounting to RUB 4.7 trillion.

In 2021, 0.8 billion transfers worth 4.7 trillion rubles were made through the Bank of Russia’s rapid payment system (SBP), the RBC portal said, citing data from representatives of the Central Bank.

  • The number of payments is eight times higher than last year, and the number has increased sixfold. In 2020, Russia made transfers of 0.1 billion worth 0.8 trillion rubles using SBP.

  • The number of users of the system exceeds 40 million, representatives of the Central Bank told the portal. According to him, bank customers appreciate the convenience and benefits of this service.

  • At three major banks, the share of transfers via SBP exceeds other c2c operating methods, reports the portal. At VTB, Post Bank and Promsvyazbank, the number of transactions via SBP took up more than 50% of the total transfer volume – 69% and 72%, respectively. At Raiffeisenbank this figure is 32%.

  • The share of transfers via SBP exceeds 50% in the spring of 2021, VTB and Promsvyazbank told the portal. The second plan is transfer from account to account, crediting money from other people’s cards and other transfer methods.

  • In “Otkrytie” and “Rosbank” payments by phone number took effect last year and in November 2020 they were 58.5% and 70%, Izvestia found.

  • In the third quarter, the average amount of one c2c transfer via SBP among Russians increased compared to the previous quarter and amounted to about 10 thousand rubles, the magazine “PLUS” reports with reference to the data bank “Russian Standard” .

  • The growth in the number of transfers through the Central Bank system was significantly affected by the transition of customers who previously withdrew money from ATMs of one bank and replenished accounts at other banks, analysts from various media said. Another factor is the increase in the number of SBP participating banks.
