In the third quarter of next year, the integration will work on computers.
Internet browser developer Opera has announced integration with blockchain firm Polygon, CoinDesk reported, citing a message from the company. This partnership will commence in Q1 2022.
In the first phase, 80 million users of the mobile browser app for Android will have access to the Polygon ecosystem, the company said.
Starting in August, integration will be increased to other devices and platforms with a total audience of 380 million people, reports CoinDesk.
Thanks to the integration, Opera customers will be able to take advantage of Polygon’s decentralized applications, specifically Sushiswap, Curve, and Aave. They will also have access to blockchain games and metaverse platforms such as Decentraland, Opensea, and The Sandbox.
The partnership with Polygon will help solve “the biggest problem for crypto enthusiasts” – high gas rates and slow transaction processing speeds, said Jorgen Arnese, executive vice president of Opera Mobile.
- The price of the Polygon token – MATIC – is up 10% against the background of the news.
Keep in mind that Opera browser developers added a crypto wallet to the interface in 2018.
